How do I order my repeat prescription?
Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:
- Through Pharmacy
- In person – use the white side portion of your last prescription, carefully mark the items required and drop it in to the surgery.
- By post – send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
If you have been ordering regular repeat prescriptions from your previous GP, you will need to provide your current repeat prescription slip from your previous GP to the dispensary before you will be issued with any medication from us. You may then be issued with a new repeat prescription slip from our computer system.
To order your prescription in person
To order your next prescription in person, the slip should be dated and completed indicating which items are required.
The request can then be placed in the box in the foyer (by the dispensary), or when the surgery is closed, in the general letterbox situated on the perimeter fence by the main gates.
Prescription forms will be available for collection in five working days (excludes weekends and bank holidays) from the dispensary during their opening hours.
We are unable to accept any repeat prescription requests over the telephone. The local chemists provide a prescription collection service, if you would like to take advantage of this, please inform dispensary.
Alternatively, a stamped addressed envelope can be left with the request for it to be posted, either to your home or the chemist of your choice.
