We have been receiving a lot of negativity about the practice on social media platforms, and our staff are receiving countless abusive and unkind comments over the telephone. Stanmore Medical Group have continued to see patients face to face following a clinician’s telephone consultation & medical requirement basis throughout the whole pandemic.
Yes – accessing the surgery in a different way, but if a patient requires a face to face consultation, we have made this possible. Changes were implemented to protect the staff and to ensure continuity of service to our patients. We have tried our best to offer as many alternative ways to access your GP (111, econsult) but to have these be limitless would be unsafe.
Our GPs, Nurses, Paramedics, Nurse Practitioners, HCA’s and many other team members have all seen patients face to face throughout the last 15 months and will continue to do so. Our workload has increased hugely since this time last year, as well as delivering Covid Vaccines for the local PCN. Our registration of new patients have also increased significantly which in turn has increased our demand for our administration department.
Please understand that every member of the practice team have worked extremely hard under difficult circumstances to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care that we can deliver.
We do not have any control over local hospital services or appointments, We truly understand your frustrations, as we have to try to navigate these services ourselves on a daily basis, often with the same outcomes as yourselves.
We will get things wrong occasionally, and are happy to look into anything we could do better, we welcome positive feedback.
Our staff are all are tired. We’ve all been through the same difficulties whilst living through this pandemic, working harder than ever before, respect and patience would be greatly appreciated we will try our best to help you where ever we can as a practice.
We ask that you be respectful and kind to anyone you come in to contact with at the surgery and are trying our best to make sure every patients needs are met.
Thankfully there are still many, many lovely patients that we speak to that make our jobs worthwhile.
